Obama 08
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognize that a sure way to upset the masses is to candidly discuss politics and religion in an open forum. As a result, many of us keep our personal views regarding certain topics hidden from all those who we believe to have differing opinions. Since beginning my blog a year or so ago, I have made it a point to rarely discuss deep personal topics...unsure of who my audience would be...unsure of what they would think of me and my statements...unsure of what I'd think of them and their statements....until now.
Because the internet is accessible to those far and wide, I can safely assume that we certainly come from different backgrounds and have varying views. Today, I'd like to share a video of a man who has my vote for this year's election. Someone who has my vote, not because he's African-American, but a man who has my vote because he incites something in me that no leader in my lifetime has been able to incite.
Regardless of your political position, I welcome you to take the time to view this video and Imagine a world where this kind of change could be possible.

Honestly Couns, I feel like this is the first election since '92where people will have a chance to pick the best candidate rather than the lessor of two evils. It's gonna be interesting to see how all the madness pans out...
OBAMA in 08!! I agree this man truly stands for something and represents all people. I don't feel that he will throw us under the bus. I say Obama all the way. However, we as the younger generation have to make sure and vote because our parents and grandparents are going to try and get Hillary "the waffle" Clinton into office.
A lot of people harp on the fact that Obama is too idealistic and not realistic enough. My point is that a little idealism is a positive thing as far as I'm concerned.
This country is in such disarray that it's going to take a little idealism mixed with optimism, mixed with a whole lotta change to get back on the right track.
Hillary just "rubs" me the wrong way for some reason that unfortunately I haven't been able to put my finger on yet.
Paz: I'd have to agree--this will be an election like no other. These are historic times. Only time will tell how historical it will be!
Ms. Denva: I don't know. I think Hillary may have a large majority of the feminist vote, but I'm hoping that they'll see through her phony exterior and planned tears. For the first time, I think I know how our parents must have felt to be in the midst of a Martin Luther King or President Kennedy. I got it bad...I donated to the campaign.
Kiyotoe: I agree. We've had eight years of absolute foolishness in the White House--put a fork in me...'cause I'm done! I'll take my chances with him any day. We have nothing to lose.
As for your girl Hillary, I'm not sure what's rubbing you the wrong way, but she's pissing me off with her nonchalant, "I've done this before" attitude. NO ONE "knows" how to be president. There is no past experience that teaches you how to balance a country's budget or manage and control military forces. It's one of those positions that forces you to rise to the occasion by thinking on your feet.
I don't trust her as far as I could throw her.
Tirade Over...I'm Out!! :)
